Why I watch Fox news!!!

Yes, it is true I now watch Fox news.  I try to watch MSNBC, CNN and others and it is just depressing.  They spin everything for Obama.  It is to say the least, irritating and I really  wonder what happen to journalism.  I get more news from bloggers and comedy shows than MSNBC.  So, I wonder why?  The thought came to me today as I watched Fox News interpret trends in tomorrow's elections---they do not have a "dog in this hunt."  Come the Fall, I have no doubt the spin will swing to McCain but now they really don't care so they are more about the story than the spin.  But why is MSNBC so obamafickle?  Whenever I don't understand something, I always ask...where is the money??  And then it comes clear.  What age bracket does every tv channel try to cater to??  You got it--the 18 to 35 year old.  And what age bracket is the strong base for Obama? There is the answer.  MSNBC does not care about the story, the facts or fairness.  It is all about the money and they want those viewers and the rest of us can go elsewhere.  So, that is why I am watching Fox News.

But have you ever thought the reason that FOX news spins towards Hillary is because the republicans want to oppose HRC in the campaign? Did you see Bush's interview a few weeks ago where he blatantly dismissed Obama as inexperienced and foolish and spoke highly of HRC? They want to run against her so FOX news is going to make her out to be the best candidate. I know I know we will take the positive press where we can get it- but I am not convinced it is because they have our interests in mind.

As always a thought provoking perspective…how horrifyingly true – follow the money trail. Here is my question/thought…why do “We” (the public) stand for it? We vote with our money, our viewing choices and our voices (or lack thereof). Why is the public not speaking up? Journalism protects our democracy and true, research-based, unbiased (well at least less biased than the present) has slipped away! Again and again over the last few years (from the corruption scandals to the government’s failure to create realistic budgets to poisonous toys), I’ve wondered “where is the public outcry?” Are we simply to busy? Are there too many things to protest against that no one issue can take sufficient traction to inspire a meaningful reaction from the public? I write letters, refuse to buy certain products, but it seems so insignificant!
